Middlesbrough have won only two of their last five competitive matches, and head into the midweek FA Cup meeting with Tottenham on the back of a 3-2 loss at Barnsley. That said, at the Riverside they have been excellent, winning seven successive matches.
Tottenham responded to their 1-0 midweek loss at Burnley with a 4-0 win at relegation-threatened Leeds on Saturday. Spurs have been wildly inconsistent of late, winning six and losing six of their last 12.
These two played out a 1-1 draw when they last met at the Riverside in the FA Cup in 2020 and considering Middlesbrough's home form coupled with Spurs' inconsistent results in recent weeks, a repeat is possible.
